Privacy policy
TextToHandAI is built to be private by design. This page explains exactly what happens to your data when you use it.
Your text never leaves your device
Everything TextToHandAI does — laying out your text, rendering the handwriting, drawing the paper, and exporting PDFs and images — happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. There is no TextToHandAI server that receives, stores, or processes your text. When you export a file, it is generated in the browser tab and saved directly to your device.
This means:
- We cannot read your text, notes, or documents — they are never transmitted to us.
- Nothing you type or paste is stored by us anywhere.
- Your exported files exist only on your device.
What is stored in your browser
TextToHandAI keeps one small piece of data in your browser’s local storage: your theme preference (light or dark mode). It stays on your device, is never transmitted, and is removed if you clear your browser data.
Third-party services
Fonts. The site’s fonts (interface fonts and handwriting fonts) are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives standard web-request information such as your IP address. See the Google privacy policy for details.
Analytics and advertising. We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (page views, general geography, device type) and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the tool free. These services use cookies or similar identifiers. They never receive the text you convert — only standard page-visit data. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
What we do not do
- We do not require accounts or collect email addresses.
- We do not sell data — we have no user data to sell.
- We do not watermark or fingerprint your exports.
Children’s privacy
TextToHandAI does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The tool works without providing any personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, when analytics or advertising is enabled — the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
